E28 M5
The E28-Series is considered by many, including myself, as an iconic BMW and a great 5-series. It combines a very comfortable 4-door sedan, elegant 80’s BMW-styling and a great driving experience thanks to a superb engine and suspension. On top of that comes ofcourse the M5, where everything is sharper, better and faster.
The car offered here is a USA delivered 1988 BMW E28 M5 and therefore it wears 086 Schwarz Paint over Natur Beige Leather and lots of options. Cold A/C, Cruise control, electric sunroof, heated and electrically adjustable seats and more.
This car came from the US well over 10 years ago and has been in a BMW M-collection for a long time now. It was fitted with a new, 280 km/h speedometer which now shows 4111 kilometers. The car has been converted to European bumpers, european headlights and euro M5 front spoilerlip.
A beautiful M5. A nice and solid, straight body. Deep black paint in excellent condition, perfect Shadowline trim, car headlights nice taillighs, emblems. The undercarriage is very clean, original and with great original clean floors.
The engine-bay is beautiful as well. Very clean, very original and with all decals in the right place.
The trunk is just as original and perfect. Clean upholstery, full set of tools, all in clean condition.
The interior is beautiful and all stock. The typical E28 sportseats, electrically adjustable and leather everywhere. A nice crack-free dashboard, clean carpets, black headliner, BMW soundsystem and Becker Grand Prix with Aux-in.
The engine runs smooth, pulls hard. Fast and very comfortable at the same time. The suspension is excellent and consists of the original M5 springs with Bilstein shocks. The brakes bite nicely and have plenty of life left. The 16 inch factory BMW BBS wheels are in excellent condition. In January of 2026 a 10W60 oil-change was performed.
