The BMW M coupe was built to be a German masterpiece – to perform and handle better than most sports cars on the road. The purpose behind creating an M Coupe was to increase the rigidity of the much-loved Z3 roadster. The Coupe is 2.7 times more rigid than the roadster. The early Z3M Coupe’s were fitted with the S50 engine from the E36 M3 making 321 horsepower. The last 1112 cars we’re fitted with the new, great 325HP S54 engine from the E46 M3. One of the lowest production BMW’s ever.
In total only 6291 Z3 M Coupes we’re built – quite a rare BMW Classic then. In February of 2001 BMW upgraded the Z3 M to the new engine. The car also came with a ZF 5-speed manual and a 3.15:1 Limited slip differential. With a dry weight of only 1390 kilo’s and 325 horsepower it accelerates from 0 to 100km/h / 60mph in 5.3 seconds.
This very car was delivered new via Autohaus Kathan Gmbh in Bad Wiessee, south of Munich near the Austrian border. 1st registered on the 9th of November 2001. This ‘CN91’ chassis was delivered in 354 Titansilber with black nappa leather. Furthermore: Airconditioning, Alarm, Headlight washer, BMW Professionel Radio, 6 CD Changer, side-airbags, green tinted windows, glass roof, cruise control, Harman Kardon HiFi system. The car has been part of a major BMW collection since 2015 where we have recently acquired the car from. The looks and drives great. Beautiful paint, hardly any usermarks. The interior is clean, correct and neat. Nice and supple leather and nice grip on the steering wheel. Clean carpets, nice black headliner.
The S54 has properly been taken care of. Multiple invoices are present of work carried out in 2019: Connectingrod-bearings, Oil-pump replaced, VANOS checked and repaired. Well over €10.000,- has been spent in recent years. A very sorted car with KW coilovers and AP racing brakes. The wheels look excellent and have proper Dunlop Sportmaxx rubber.
A recent service in our workshop included a 10W60 oil change with filter, sparkplugs, valve cover gasket replacement, driveshaft guibo replacement and new shock absorbers in the rear.
Very sorted, 104k kilometers, 5-speed Manual BMW M car. Always a great investment with only 1112 ever produced.
