‘Turbo Taiga’ Restomod E9 3.0 CS

The car is a BMW 3.0 CS in Taiga Green metallic. It has been completely restored and prepared to house a 3,4 Liter Turbo engine. The engine has been rebuilt and installed over the last few weeks. A pillarless Coupe, cold A/C, 5-speed gearbox a big, fast and torquey 3,4 liter Turbocharged engine.

A very high quality car and a finished product. Not a car that’s harsh, raw or hard to drive. A true gentlemen’s Coupe. Thanks to it’s turbocharged 3,4 liter engine running OEM BMW hardware works excellent and makes speed very easily. It starts up directly and idles very smooth. From low in the rev range on there is plenty of boost to cover ground fast. No drama, no shakes, no rattles but lots of torque and power.
The 3,4 Liter turbocharged engine has been rebuilt completely including all ancillaries. Behind that is a rebuilt 5-speed Getrag 265 gearbox with new clutch and shortened driveshaft. Behind that is a rebuilt Limited slip differential. Suspension consists of our set of lowering springs, Bilstein shocks and sway-bars. Braking is done by all new and rebuilt calipers and brake master cylinder. Drilled and ventilated rotors help it stop in time. The car sits on a genuine set of Alpina 16″ wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres.

It’s not all about the upgrading though. This BMW E9 has undergone a complete, all-out restoration. Completely taken to bare-metal, all bodywork performed excellent and painted in it’s factory shade of Taiga green afterwards. A beautiful finish, a deep shine, very straight and excellent panelgaps. The beltline trim was all polished, the bumpers were re-chromed, the taillights polished and the headlights replaced with new. The car makes an as new impression. 

The interior is all new and restored as well – beautiful place to be. All sound insulation is in place and it has a new set of carpet and a new headliner. Reupholstered seats, dashboard and restored wood. The trunk was nicely reupholstered and the set of tools is complete. 
A beautiful E9 with a very special drivetrain. A custom ECU was made and the car was extensively test driven for over 200 kilometers to make sure all is tight, working and correct.
