Manual 850i

A fantastic shape – then and now. The BMW E31 8-series came to market in 1989, the long awaited and very high-tech BMW Grand Tourer. BMW has built 20.072 V12 850i’s and some 3600 of those came with the 6-speed Manual. It actually was the first road-car with V12 mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox

Compared with the Automatic 850i, the Manual 850i is quite a different beast – it’s a completely different driving experience. Much more agile, much quicker and more fun to drive. This car comes in a great spec. My favourite color of 252 Calypso red metallic and combined with beautifully supple black leather.

Sold new in Germany and had it’s pre-delivery inspection from BMW Munich on the 1st of July 1991 and was serviced by BMW until 1994 in 1995 the car was imported into Sweden where we’ve recently bought it. The kilometers are documented through the years.
It’s quite refreshing to see an 850i  in this original condition. Not raced, modified or ‘upgraded’ – This car sits on original suspension, interior and no extra spoilers. Like BMW meant it’s flagship. The car wears beautiful paint which was been redone a couple of years ago. Very straight, a deep shine and no usermarks. It sits on the 17 inch ‘Throwing Star’ wheels with Michelin tyres fitted.

The interior is exceptionally nice and was kept clean, original and tidy. Very nice and supple original black leather. Clean carpets, straight headliner, a new set of floormats. The underbody is clean, original and without any rust or welding performed.

It was cared for and looked after throughout the years. Lots of receipts are present as well as technical inspections showing the car’s kilometer readings. Last year the ground module, instrument cluster and display have been repared/restored by a specialist. The V12 runs smooth, the transmission shifts beautiful and it’s a joy to drive.
